Opportunities have arisen for enthusiastic and dynamic Staff Nurses to join our forward thinking team of District Nurses based across North Manchester.
Whilst community experience would be an advantage we are looking to recruit individuals who have relevant transferable skills and are keen to develop their career in the community setting, this includes newly qualified nurses. This post requires effective communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to be adaptable, reliable and approachable. You will have a sound knowledge of recent changes within the NHS and knowledge of the political drivers to provide care closer to home as part of a ‘one Team’ approach.
As part of an Integrated Neighbourhood Team you will be responsible for the assessment of nursing care needs, implementation and evaluation of care programmes and the delivery of high quality holistic care within the community setting. You will need to be able to work independently, possess good time management and organizational skills and be expected to be innovative and flexible to work in other areas if required to meet service need.
Please note whilst you will be given a base there will be times when working across the footprint of North Manchester will be required.
Travel is an essential part of this role; please demonstrate on your application form how you would meet this requirement.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
