This is an exciting opportunity to maintain and develop our Clinical Pharmacy Service to the Division of Integrated Medicine covering the maternity leave for the current post holder. The pharmacy departments at Pennine Acute Hospital NHS Trust are progressive, forward thinking and focused on the provision of high quality clinical services. Our department at North Manchester General Hospital is automated and benefits from aseptic and medicines information services on site. The hospital offers a wide range of specialties including Medical, Surgical, Intermediate care unit, Community Services, Paediatrics, Level 2 Neonatal Unit, Maternity, Critical Care, Infectious diseases and Clinical trials.

As a Specialist Clinical Pharmacist for Medicine and Community Services you will be responsible for the provision of clinical pharmacy services to the Division of Medicine at North Manchester General Hospital and support implementation and compliance with medicines management policies within the specialties.

This post will provide you with an outstanding breadth of experience in a comprehensive portfolio of specialised areas including: Award winning Crisis Response Team, Intermediate Care Unit, Falls Prevention Service, Medical Admissions and Medical Specialties including Cardiology, Respiratory and Endocrinology.

This position is ideal for a pharmacist looking to consolidate and develop clinical skills in a dynamic working environment. You will work closely with our team of senior pharmacists in a supportive environment that encourages growth and career enhancement, both clinically and managerially.

For this post you must have clinical experience in a hospital setting and have, or be working towards, a postgraduate clinical diploma.
