Are you looking for a nursing role that gives you the chance to be fully supported to learn, develop and thrive in your career while giving the best patient care? Then this role could be the one for you!

Ward G2 is looking to recruit Band 5 Staff Nurses to join an enthusiastic team committed to delivering the highest standard of care to our patients. This is a 25 bedded mixed sex ward, caring for a range of patients with gastroenterology needs based on our Royal Oldham Hospital site.

Gastroenterology experience is desirable for this post; however an interest in this speciality is essential. Full in house training will be given form ward staff and speciality nurses who deliver training on the ward weekly.

'Our Commitment to You'

Becoming a part of this team will allow you the chance to gain a variety of transferable skills such as complex antibiotic and cytotoxic drug regimens, caring for both acute and chronic health conditions including longstanding liver and bowel conditions, pre and post endoscopy care for elective and emergency admissions.

You will be welcomed by a dynamic, enthusiastic team where development is a priority and who are keen to see their people succeed and enjoy their roles. This ward allows opportunity to not only deliver a high standard of patient care but also gives you the chance to work towards developing your own skills in the best way for you.

"'Your Contribution to the Team'

We are looking for equally enthusiastic and energetic individuals who are keen to learn, willing to work together as a team but are self-motivated and can work independently when needed. You will be a professional who truly understands the need for care, consideration and respect for our patients but can also apply these qualities to your team members.

This area is both rewarding and challenging caring for some of the most complex patients in the trust, where empathy and understanding is required to support patients with life changing diagnosis

We'd welcome an opportunity to showcase the ward to prospective candidates, so please feel free to arrange a visit?
