Due to an expansion of our interventional and fluoroscopy radiology service we are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our friendly, caring and dynamic team. This exciting post can be developed to appoint radiographers from a band 5 to a band 6 according to experience. We can offer a training package for those band 5 personnel who wish to progress to a band 6.
We would welcome applications from those approaching substantial post qualification who possess a BSc (hons) in diagnostic radiography. You will also be HCPC registered and have experience in general radiography. Experience in interventional radiology is desirable but interest and enthusiasm are essential.
First rate practical imaging and communication skills are required alongside a commitment and focus towards delivering excellent patient care.
We currently have 9 radiographers in our team working alongside our dedicated and passionate radiologists and nurses who work to the same high standards. Undertaking x-ray and ultrasound guided interventions such as angiography, biopsies, nephrostomies, embolization within the screening and fluoroscopy team.
Our interventional team aim is to tailor an approach, in supporting patients on their journey from referral to discharge, through becoming involved with informed consent, pre-assessment of the patient and utilising our new Interventional Radiology Day-Case Unit to facilitate admission, recovery and discharge of patients following interventional procedures.
We also have a state of the art hybrid theatre suite working alongside vascular surgeons performing screening for a variety of procedures including Endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR).
This is a fantastic opportunity to work days Monday to Friday 9am-5pm and participate in the 24 hour on call service (after sufficient training) working across two hospital sites, The Royal Oldham Hospital and North Manchester General.
