Join us and be part of something bigger.

We have paved the way for excellence in Integrated Care and in July 2016 took the  pioneering step to form one of the first Integrated Care Organisations.  We now provide adult social care services alongside our established healthcare services, which has given us the chance to develop better, more joined up ways of working that deliver improved outcomes for the local community.

We have exciting opportunities for Qualified Nurses to join our friendly and supportive acute medical and nursing team who are committed to providing and maintaining high standards of patient care.

Ward L5 is a 24 mixed bedded acute medical ward, specialising in Care of the Older Person, with a special focus on Parkinson’s disease.

The ward has recently been presented an ‘End PJ Paralysis Stars’ award for their innovative work to encourage patients out of bed. The team have arranged activity days to promote the ‘get up, get dressed, get moving’ approach. Patients and staff report how much patients are enjoying these sessions.

We pride ourselves in supporting staff and ensuring opportunities are available to develop personally and professionally. We work closely with the learning and development team to ensure staff members are supported and can develop their skills.

We are looking for professional and highly motivated Registered Nurses wishing to develop their skills within medicine and create opportunities to progress. You will need to acknowledge that as well as providing specialist care for our patients, there will be opportunities to develop your skills to become expert in caring for a group of patients with complex medical conditions.

You will be offered full support and training to a high standard to ensure that you are able to provide the correct care to our complex patients, ensuring that family members and carer’s needs are assessed.

We recognise the role of a registered nurse can be very busy and demanding. The Trust has led the way with Safe Staffing; this ensures that ward is staffed to an appropriate level for the dependency of the patients.

We can offer development opportunities for staff nurses wanting to pursue their career in nursing and the development of their clinical skills.

Suitably experienced applicants are welcomed from all nursing specialities.

If you are a newly qualified nurse we will pay your first year's NMC registration fee as well as paying you at Band 4 until you receive you NMC PIN.

We can also offer a competitive relocation package (subject to conditions).

We will be available to welcome and show prospective candidates around the wards and answer any questions you may have. Please contact us to arrange a suitable date and time.

In line with the Trust’s Single Equality Scheme we welcome applications from everyone irrespective of ethnic origin, disability, age, gender, gender identity, sexual preference, disability, nationality, religion, marital status, social back ground or trade union membership.

Interviews will be held on 7th March 2018.
