It provides a range of medical, surgical and emergency services to the people of Salford, and also offers specialist care to people to a wider population who need expert help including Neurosciences, Nephrology, Intestinal Failure and Dermatology.

You will be an essential part of the team providing a high quality service to patients and staff. You will be responsible for providing general administrative and patient and visitor services on behalf of the finance department. This includes responsibility for helping visitors and patients who visit the Patients’ Services department including payments of hospital travel costs, coordinating lost property and dealing with other queries; assisting the cashiers, and the staff working to recover debts owed to the Trust and the staff working to pay invoices owed by the Trust, working on the main hospital reception desk as required; document printing and distribution; document scanning; photocopying; answering phone calls and taking phone messages.

You will also be expected to deputise for the Trust Cashiers when they are on leave which will require you to undertake the cashiering roles. This will include counting and recording cash and cheques on the finance system, reconciling takings from the various outlets across the Trust to the receipts.
