Ward B6 is a 32 bedded mixed sex orthopaedic ward. The ward has a diverse range of patients ranging from including trauma patients, complex elective patients and elderly patients with diverse holistic needs
The ward is part of the Regional Trauma Team and has an extensive ward based MDT team which includes Ortho-Geriatrician, Surgeons, Specialist Nurses, dedicated Physiotherapy and OT teams, Wound Surveillance Nurse, Discharge Pathway Manager, ERAS Nurse.
The Ward also has close links with the Orthopaedic Out Patients and Fracture Clinics.
We are looking to recruit standout nurses who are either newly qualified or have post registration experience to care for surgical patients including complex patients and be involved in discharge planning.

You will receive a ward based induction including orthopaedic competencies and extensive mentorship. Be supported to develop the competence and confidence you need as an effective, independent healthcare professional. Newly qualified nurses will also benefit from our 12 month preceptorship programme supported by our dedicated Practice Development Team. You will also receive support from our senior nursing team and highly specialised nurses.

If you are due to qualify we pay your 1st years NMC registration fee as well as pay you at Band 4 until you receive you NMC PIN.
